In the 13-years age group, Vulcans produced a hat-trick of medals with Chloe James leading Alison Haworth and Olivia Kelsey in the Gold – silver – bronze medals. Despite the gold medal eluding them in the 14-years category, Laura Pigott and Sarah Fountain took the silver and bronze medals.

In the boys event, it was Ollie Bitowt who took the gold medal in the 15-years boys age group and senior Open title in 15.57.64 – over 70 seconds ahead of the next fastest swimmer, while Liam Noonan took silver in the 14-years age group producing an improvement of over 120 seconds on his entry time.

Jamie White took bronze in the 16-years age group registering over 20 seconds improvement.
Head Coach Fred Furniss commented: "It was an outstanding performance to win both the men's and women's senior titles and all the girls age group titles except one.

"Our swimmers did very well and most achieved very good PBs.

"These results augur well for the rest of the County Championships."
