Head Coach Departs

06 Oct, 2020

Last week saw the end of Head Coach Paul Hogg's tenure. The club is hugely grateful for all his hard work over the last 3 years in implementing and delivering his training programme for the club. This has resulted in excellent achievements for the swimmers and clear direction to the coaching team to move the club forward.

In his own words to the club, Paul commented:

"Hand on heart this club together with Newburn ASC are the two clubs who will always hold a special place in my heart.

I would like to thank all the swimmers for their support and efforts over the past 3 years. I have been so proud of you all whether it was open meets, Counties, Regional or Nationals.

To the membership and committee members past and present, thank you.

To the best coaching team, I have ever had, thank you

[...] I will always be proud to have been a Vulcan."

We wish him all the best for the future, and would like to thank our members for a great send off on his final day.

We now look forward to the club's continued development under our former assistant, and now acting head coach Adam McIntyre.
