How long have you been coaching with the club?
I started coaching with LVSC in 2018
What’s your favourite thing about coaching?
I enjoy teaching learn to swim as it is so rewarding to see the children in my squad improve their swimming ability, technique and confidence and know that I have been part of that.
Why did you start coaching?
I started coaching as part of the volunteering section of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award which I started in 2018, after I had completed my DofE award I continued to volunteer.
What’s your sporting background?
I started swimming with LVSC when I was 5 years of age and volunteering as a coach has allowed me to give something back to the club.
What’s your favourite stroke?
My favourite stoke to swim is front crawl because it is the stoke I was fastest at. But my favourite stroke to teach is breast stroke because it looks easy but is difficult to master.
What’s my favourite drill?
I like the breast stroke drill two kicks and one pull as it helps the swimmers to concentrate on their leg movement and helps improve their streamline position under the water.
