Eindhoven Cup - day 1

I write this as the swimmers finish off their evening meal alongside our friends from the Amsterdam Swimming Club.

In the pool, against some very tough competition, our group of swimmers have competed against some of Europe's best swimmers - Miley, Lowe, Sjoestroem and Kromowidjojo to name a few.

We had four finalist in the various categories, Ollie B won the youth 200 Backstroke final in a National Qualifying time of 2.09.54, Oliver Richmond won the B Final in the same event also under his National time with a 2.12.19, Amber Sheldon also qualified for the B final of the 200 Backstroke and Abigail Burr missed out on her national time by 0.6 in her 100 Butterfly Youth final, having come through strong competition in her heat racing against Jemma Lowe.

She also just failed to make the A final of the 800 Freestyle, finishing 10th overall. There was strong swims from Liam Noonan in his 200 Back (big pb) and 100 Free; Emily Walsh competing at her first major competition had a great swim in her 800m. Our adopted swimmer, Oliver Brache, got his 100 Free national time.

The pool and atmosphere is great and all the swimmers are thoroughly enjoying the experience.
