Lincoln Vulcans raced for the first time this season to qualify for County, Regional and National championships. The majority of swimmers at the Cambridge meet were youth (15+yrs) with a few juniors able to step up and compete here too.

24 Swimmers competed across all disciplines achieving a monumental 100 Personal Best times! The 100 m and 50 m events had junior and senior finals, in which we appeared 30 times helping to achieve 118 Top 10 finishes, 15Gold, 14Silver and 13Bronze medals.

Tara Haworth, 16, received the award for Top Girl of the competition. Other noticeable swims came from Will Barber, 13 (200 FLY, 100 FLY, 200 BK), Edward Bromley, 16 (200 FLY, 200 BK and 100 BK) with Louis McGrath (13) and Eve Beer (13) also making waves.

Head Coach, Michael Glossop, adds “it’s taken 18months so far, but the progression we have made is really starting to tell with an increased in competitor numbers, medals and top 10 finishes compared to this time last year. The swimmers, coaches and parents have all made this possible with much more to come."
