Arena League report

Having made a fantastic start in Round1, Vulcans continued the momentum into Round2 which finished as expected without the tension of the first round.

Peterborough A finished first with 267pts, Vulcans 230pts, Deepings 179pts, Bramcote 163pts and Biggleswade 156pts. As in the first round, Tara Haworth and Ollie Brache set the tone, winning the first two races for maximum points. Will Barber won both of his 13yrs & under races, Ollie Taylor and Cameron Chow won the 15yrs & under 100Freestyle and Breaststroke respectively and Ollie Brache finished the individual races with a win in the 100 Freestyle.

Overall the team won 7 races, finishing in second place on 28 other occasions from 50 races. Head Coach, Michael Glossop, states: “The swimmers knew that if we performed as well as we did in the first round, then we’d be through to the final round fighting for a top 6 finish with a very realistic goal of claiming a Top3 spot! Everyone did their bit and it was another great team performance."
